What types of dust does it detect?

The XD1+ measures respirable dust (PM4.25), including crystalline silica, coal dust, construction and demolition dust, and general industrial particulates.

Is the XD1+ certified for use in hazardous environments?

Yes. The Trolex XD1+ is IECEx/ATEX certified and intrinsically safe, making it suitable for use in hazardous and explosive environments such as mines, tunnels, quarries, and industrial sites.

How does the XD1+ work?

The XD1+ uses optical laser scattering technology to continuously measure airborne dust in real-time, logging exposure data and providing instant alerts when preset thresholds are exceeded.

Does the XD1+ require a filter or pump?

No. The XD1+ requires no filters or pumps and contains no consumable parts, reducing maintenance and overall cost of ownership.

How is the XD1+ worn?

Weighing just 170g (6oz), the XD1+ can be clipped to clothing or PPE, or worn on a belt, making it comfortable for full-shift use.

What data does the XD1+ record?

The device records real-time dust concentration (mg/m³), time-weighted average (TWA), peak exposure levels, and full shift exposure data. Data can be downloaded and supported through DustArrest.

How long does the battery last?

The XD1+ delivers over 16 hours of battery life and can be fully recharged in a few hours using USB-C.

Can the XD1+ connect to other systems?

Yes. The XD1+ features Bluetooth connectivity, allowing integration with smartphones, cloud-based systems, or site monitoring platforms. DustArrest can advise on integration options.

What industries use the XD1+?

The Trolex XD1+ is widely used in mining, construction, tunnelling, demolition, manufacturing, oil & gas, and environmental monitoring.

How does it help with regulatory compliance?

The XD1+ helps businesses monitor and document worker exposure to support compliance with occupational exposure limits (OELs) and regulatory requirements. DustArrest can assist with selecting the correct monitoring solution for your site.

What makes the XD1+ different from other dust monitors?

Key features include real-time monitoring, no consumables, ultra-compact wearable design, IECEx/ATEX certification for hazardous areas, and Bluetooth-enabled connectivity.

Is training required to use it?

Minimal training is required. The XD1+ has a simple interface with clear LED indicators for dust levels and device status, and DustArrest provides product guidance and support where needed.

PERSONAL DUST MONITORING FOR REAL LIFE.

We believe in keeping it simple.

The Trolex XD1+ is designed to be used every day, in any situation or job role, whatever your level of expertise. It monitors the levels of dangerous dust and lets you know when it’s time to take
action.

XD1+ is small and lightweight enough to give you the freedom to do your job whilst making zero compromise on accuracy and reliability.

A truly wearable, easy to use, cost effective, early warning device and real-time dust monitor that can change the way you manage safety.

Dust monitoring just got personal.

Trolex XD1⁺ is a simple, straightforward and highly accurate dust monitor with just a single button; simply switch it on, secure it in place and off you go. With real-time dust monitoring, XD1⁺ changes the way we fight respiratory disease in the workplace.

This time it’s personal.

Trolex XD1⁺ is small and lightweight enough to give you the freedom to do your job whilst consistently monitoring the levels of dangerous dust. At only 170 g, XD1⁺ is ¼ of the size of other dust monitors on the market, remaining truly wearable, with dimensions of only 112 mm x 64 mm x 25 mm. Personal, real-time monitoring to always protect your workers.

Take back control. Save lives.

Trolex XD1⁺ gives you instant alarms for fully customisable STEL and TWA measurements for dust sizes of PM1, PM2.5, PM4.25 and PM10. With our accurate and real-time dust monitoring you can take back control to prioritise worker safety, make effective business decisions and save lives.

End the guesswork.

No complicated set up, usage or data analysis.

Just simple, straightforward, highly accurate dust monitoring with a single-button unit. Trolex XD1⁺ is the quickest and easiest way to show you made the right decisions in your protection strategy.

Use real-time data to prove your elimination or reduction processes work – and that your people are protected.

With BreatheMOBILE you can access your dust monitoring data all the time. RFID tagging allows you to allocate your XD1⁺ device wherever you are and with bluetooth connectivity, you can view all the live data, all the time, in real-time. When it comes to making a difference, real-time information is king.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY.

No two days are the same in a dusty working environment.

Which is why monthly, weekly or even daily sampling isn’t good enough.

You need continuous real-time monitoring with instant alarms and comprehensive data sets to properly protect your workers.
