The Medi air purifiers treat the air in your environment by filtering out and removing airborne particulate from your breathing space.
The Medi air purifiers use powerful airflow to circulate the air in a room, sucking the air in through multiple stage filters to remove all dust, pollen, odours and other particulate matter before passing any smaller bioaerosols past a powerful UV-C bulb before releasing clean, purified air back into the room.
The Medi 2e, 4e and 6e UVC bulbs have a 6000h lifetime run time before they need replacing. The Medi 8 UVC Bulbs have an 8000h runtime so the frequency and duration of time the machine is running per session will determine how frequently the bulbs need to be replaced. A. The Medi 2e, 4e and 6e filters should be replaced approximately every 6 months and the Medi 8 filters should be changed every 12-18 months, it depends on how frequently the machine is run and the environment it is located in. If you require replacement filters, you can buy them here
The Medi air purifiers should be placed as close as possible to any known source, or where the highest intensity of airbourne particulates are located. In restaurants and office environments this is typically near to tables & desks where people are located. Ensure that minimum 1m space is left on both sides of the machine where filters are located so that air can be drawn in without hinderance.
The Air Purifier uses a mixture of HEPA filtration, UVC sterilisation, negatively charged ions to efficiently and safely clean the air.

Yes, they are secure and perfect for the school environment. The Medi 4e and Medi 8 have a child lock function.
Effective RPE and PPE should be used, when changing filters, In theory there is no real risk as back of filters is constantly exposed to UVC light. But appropriate care should be taken.
The green rubber bung is a replacement seal to the water tank on the base of the Medi 6e.
The UV-C Lamp will come on as you flick through the ‘Anion’ settings on the display. This allows you to turn off the UVC or ionisation function on demand.
The timer setting on these models enables you to switch the machine on for the desired length of time that you wish to have the machine running. It does not enable you to pre-set which time you would like it to start.
